Over the last ten years, I have consistently been involved in initiatives, projects, programs and organizations that aim to better the lives of students, not only in Waterloo Region, but across the country. After being chosen as one of ten women to receive the Province of Ontario’s Leading Women, Building Communities award for the riding of Kitchener-Waterloo in 2018, I knew it was time to use the skills that I’ve gained from my experience in educational institutions, advocacy and equity roles to advocate for students in the Waterloo Region. This blog will house some of my thoughts on our educational system and will hold our elected officials accountable for the next four years.

Here’s to four years of grassroots organizing to ensure that our students and educators are prioritized!
